Dr. Emily Witty
Dr. Emily Amie Witty serves as the Director of Instructional Improvement in the Division of Yeshivot and Day Schools at The Jewish Education Project. In this capacity, she gives workshops on a variety of topics, including implementing the Common Core Standards, differentiated instruction in the elementary classroom, strategies for teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) and using a Balanced Literacy methodology. She has been an educator in the New York City public school system, and in parochial and congregational schools in the tri-state area.
Dr. Witty earned her doctorate from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration at Yeshiva University. Additionally, she holds a master's degree from Touro College in Jewish Studies with a concentration in Holocaust studies. She received her undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University-Stern College for Women in education and her first master’s degree from Hunter College of the City University of New York in Teaching English as a Foreign and Second Language.
